REPORT #10

Pinar del Río, Cuba — Casa de Dominó

Probable

02 SEP 2024

"Subject reportedly observed entering the Casa de Dominó in Pinar del Río at approximately 14:20 local time. Wearing linen, smoking. Departed before contact could be established. Cigar ash collected for analysis. Match with known subject smoking habits is suggestive but not definitive."

Reported by: Barry Baxter (superfan, correspondent of record) Reliability: Variable — high enthusiasm Corroboration: cigar ash, photo at distance

REPORT #9

Bonaire, Caribbean Netherlands — Marina at Kralendijk

Probable

14 AUG 2024

"A man matching the subject's description was observed painting the hull of a sailboat called La Tercera Mañana at the marina. He answered to no name in particular. He was paid in cash. The captain's wife provided lunch (pollo guisado). The man returned the empty plate with the lid replaced and walked west along the seawall. He was not seen again."

Reported by: Anonymous (charter captain) Reliability: Moderate Corroboration: photo of empty plate

REPORT #8

Hialeah, Florida — Pollo Tropical, W 49th St

Confirmed

30 JUL 2024

"The subject ordered the TropiChop with extra hot sauce, sat alone for forty minutes, and left an unsigned five-dollar tip on a six-dollar meal. Security footage retained per franchise policy. The manager identifies him from the album cover with high confidence. The subject did not return."

Reported by: Manager, Pollo Tropical #2174 Reliability: High Corroboration: CCTV, manager ID, receipt

REPORT #7

Aruba — Eagle Beach, after sunset

Probable

11 JUL 2024

"I saw a man on the beach with a guitar that looked like a cigar box. He was playing very slow and very badly. I asked if he took requests. He said he only played one song and it was already over. Then he laughed at his own joke for what felt like a long time. My wife thought he might be the man from the album we listened to in the rental car."

Reported by: H. Vanderpool (tourist, retired dentist, Minneapolis) Reliability: Sober, polite

REPORT #6

Marseille, France — old port district

Apocryphal

03 JUL 2024

"I am writing because the man you are looking for is sitting at a café here drinking a small black coffee with a friend who keeps saying 'Sloop, Sloop, écoute.' The friend is paying. Both men are wearing the same shirt. They left together when I went inside to use the bathroom and when I came back the table was clean. The waiter said no one had been there in an hour. I do not know what to think."

Reported by: User submission, no name provided Reliability: Cannot assess Note: narrative consistent with co-conspirator presence; lacks evidence

REPORT #5

Curaçao — Willemstad, floating market

Confirmed

21 JUN 2024

"Subject was photographed by a Curaçao tourism photographer purchasing six pounds of Edam from a Venezuelan vendor. Photographer recognized the album cover and forwarded the image to St. Clair's office, which forwarded it to the archive. Subject made eye contact with the camera. He did not smile. He paid in U.S. cash."

Reported by: Sterling St. Clair's office (forwarded) Reliability: High (chain of custody intact) Corroboration: photograph (color, dated), receipt

REPORT #4

Key West, Florida — Mallory Square, sunset celebration

Probable

02 JUN 2024

"Two performers — a juggler and a man who plays the saw — both reported a tourist matching the subject's description who tipped each of them five dollars and asked, in lightly accented English, where the cigar shops were. He did not stay for sunset. The juggler said the subject smelled of citronella. The saw player said he smelled of clove cigarettes. Both could be correct."

Reported by: Two unaffiliated street performers Reliability: Moderate (independent reports)

REPORT #3

Buffalo, Wyoming — Crazy Woman Café

Apocryphal

18 MAY 2024

"Postcard text, transcribed in full: 'Found the right Buffalo. Cold but quiet. Coffee here is bad in a way I missed. Tell Sterling I am not coming back. — S.' Handwriting analysis pending. Postmark legible (Buffalo, WY) but the postcard depicts Buffalo, NY. Investigators are unsure whether to log this as evidence of presence or evidence of mockery."

Reported by: Postcard, no return address Reliability: None established Note: postcard retained; handwriting comparison inconclusive

REPORT #2

At sea — approximately 18° N, 69° W

Probable

04 APR 2024

"Crew reported a small unflagged sailboat passing at low speed in the early morning. A single man at the tiller, gray beard, glasses, smoking. He waved without looking up. The boat was sailing the wrong way for any obvious destination. The captain's log notes only: 'Saw a man going nowhere. He seemed comfortable about it.' Coordinates plotted are approximate."

Reported by: Crew of M/V Casandra Lee (cargo vessel) Reliability: Moderate

REPORT #1

Lhasa, Tibet — Jokhang Temple plaza

Apocryphal

09 MAR 2024

"Submitter writes: 'Saw Sloop here last week selling cheese to monks. The monks were very happy. He gave me a piece for free. It tasted like home.' No further detail provided. Submitter included a photo of unrelated landscape. The archive logs all reports regardless of plausibility but flags this entry as the leading apocryphal of the year."

Reported by: User submission via online form Reliability: Implausible (subject has no documented passport) Note: photograph attached, unrelated to subject
